Wake up close to where you hunt
A good hunt starts with a good camp. Solem Ranch Basecamp is a private, family-owned ranch within reach of the wide-open public land of western South Dakota, the Grand River National Grassland and the Slim Buttes country near Reva. Set up in privacy and comfort, rest under a wide prairie sky, and wake up near where you plan to hunt. Less time driving, more time in the field.
Who Hunts From Here
The surrounding grassland, buttes, and river breaks hold the game hunters travel for. We stay honest about it. The land is public and the seasons are yours to plan. What we offer is the basecamp near it.
- Deer hunters working the grassland draws and river breaks
- Antelope (pronghorn) hunters on the wide-open prairie
- Turkey hunters in the wooded coulees and buttes
- Upland bird hunters in the surrounding grassland
Ways You Could Stay
We are still deciding what to build here, and we want hunters to help choose. These are the stays we are weighing, each close to wide-open public land and private from the crowd. Tell us which you would want in the form below, and we will build the one that draws the most interest.
- Primitive sites with generous spacing and room for trucks, trailers, tents, and rooftop tents, set up close to where you hunt
- Two-bedroom mobile homes with full beds, a kitchen, and heat, made for cold-weather hunts and longer stays
- The hunting lodge, our flagship, with room for the whole party, a full kitchen, and an on-site game-dressing and processing area
Become a Founder
Solem Ranch Basecamp is still in early development. Whether it gets built depends on confirming enough interest and securing financing, so it may not move forward. That is exactly why your voice matters now: join the early interest list and help shape the basecamp. There is no obligation, and we simply want to know what you would value most.
